There were chunks throughout the dish and a film covered the top. It took 45 minutes to completely melt the BH&G wax. At first they smell good but after awhile the I guess the scented portion of the wax burns away and all you're left with is a hot bowl of wax with no scent.
I have a few through out our apartment to get rid of the "apartment" smell that never seems to go away. I have a huge collection of differs scents of the tarts. They last so long in these warmers. I actually bought this in order to save money on the hundreds of candles I buy every year and I am definatly saving money. I am only giving Scentsy the edge here because Scentsy scents seem to last longer. Please do not confuse this with the strength of the scent.

Stronger scents may last a little longer. One of the stronger ones lasted 24 hours. Walmart bars have 6 cubes so it lasted a total of 72 hours for the $2 bar. I bought one of these warmers a few months back, only one size smaller and I can't like without one now.
Some scents hardly even smell at all. I can not tell you who has the best scents as far as smells. Everyone is different and I have scents from all 3 that I love and some I can not stand to even melt.
Scentsy vs. Walmart
I can't help it that is just how I have always been. Scentsy warmers have a lifetime warranty. Here are some recommendations, all of which have exceedingly strong throws and incredible scents.
Each package is priced at $2 versus $5. Will ship within 4 business days of receiving cleared payment. The seller has specified an extended handling time for this item. Scentsy's lighter floral scents do not last as long as 4 days for me. A medium strength scent such as "Blueberry Cheesecake" last me 4 days.

The workmanship was shoddy and just plain cheap. I invested in a Scentsy warmer and the difference in durability of product is night and day . Hi--just wanted to mention that I have a Scentsy warmer and I use BHG wax cubes (b/c they are cheaper) and the BHG cubes DO melt completely in my Scentsy warmer. I've been using the BHG cubes for over a year now, they have been around awhile but Walmart moves them around constantly.
Scentsy scents are NOT stronger than the competition. Strength depends on the individual scent you select. I have some scents that are very light and some that are very strong that I can smell in every room in my house.

I just bought a Better Homes and Garden Warmer. Don't understand why but I am returning it to WalMart. I just don't think that the BHG citrus scents are as fresh as GC. I think it is up to each individual. I don't think the BHG Fragrance Cubes smell fake at all. I actually thought they smelled pretty close to the real thing.
My only complaint with BHG is that I want more variety of scents. Michael's also sells wax tarts, so I'll be going there soon to purchase a few. I have the BH&G plug-in night light type. BH&G makes potpourri, wax cubes, candles, & oils.
Since I am not a Scentsy user I can't compare scent wise, but I can tell you that I am very impressed with the BHG Wax Warmers System. The price of the BHG warmers is $15 versus $30 for Scentsy this is more realistic and affordable for me. I can also purchase the wax fragrance cubes in store instead of ordering them.
